In the arrangement shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the trolly cross-head is pivoted in the side plates f, and through it passes a stud g carrying a cross-piecej, on which is pivoted the load-carrying beam k. A bush n, sliding on a feather key and pressed upwards by a spring p, has curved projections n<3> fitting into recesses in the cross-head. When the load-carrying beam k is turned, the projections move out of the recesses and the spring p is compressed, thus holding the load in its adjusted position.
