Dyeing.-Cotton fabrics or banks having silk or woollen effect threads are dyed with sulphur colours, in presence of a reserve for the animal fibres, consisting of blood, or diastafor, or a mixture of these substances. The wool may be first dyed in an acid bath with a suitable dye-stuff, and the cotton then dyed with a sulphide colour in a bath containing blood or diastafor or both.
