Pistons. - In rotary refrigerating-machines consisting of a rotary condenser, within which are arranged gas compressors, and an evaporator, means are provided for facilitating the lubrication of the working parts and the separation of the refrigerating-liquid from the oil. A casting suspended from the shaft a and held stationary by a weight at its lower end contains the compressors h and the mechanism for distributing the lubricating-oil. The compressors, which are mounted on trunnions q, are oscillating and doubleacting. The piston-rods are connected to collars embracing an eccentric portion of the shaft a and are operated thereby. The pistons may be hollowed out so as to fit a projecting boss on the cover, in order that the diameter of the apparatus may be reduced. The pistons are provided with a circular groove w supplied by oil through a passage in the side of the cylinder. The oil serves also as packing..
