Stoppers, screw.-A stopper B of the form described in Specification No. 27,251, A.D. 1904, is formed with a circumferential ridge b, which forms a corresponding depression in the washer C, the fluting described in the above Specification being absent. The stopper B can thus be rotated independently of the washer C, which is pressed down upon its seating. In a modification, the stopper B is formed with a depending shoulder b<1>, the washer C being recessed to accommodate it.
