Abstract
14,257. Fieldhouse, W. Oct. 14, A.D. 1902, [date applied for under Patents Act, A.D. 1901]. Brackets; window blinds.-Relates to brackets for shade rollers and curtain poles, which may be adjusted to receive rollers or poles of different lengths. An arm b, Fig. 1, has a dovetailed groove c at the back, and slides over a metal strip a, which is screwed or otherwise fastened to the window frame. A recess g, Fig. 4, is formed in the groove at the back of the arm, and a bent plate-spring i is held in the recess. The spring projects beyond the bottom of the groove and bears against the strip, holding the arm in any desired position. An arm and its strip are mounted at each side of the window, one arm having a square and the other a round opening for the trunnions of the roller. When used for supporting a curtain pole, the arm is formed with an extension j, Fig. 5, and a recess k.
