Abstract

190,137. Stauder, V. Kobler-. Dec. 12, 1921, [Convention date]. Tobacco pipes.-Discs 2, each having two slots at 7 forming a smoke passage, are spaced upon a rod 1 at such distances that when dipped into a liquid some of the liquid is retained between the discs by capillary action and serves to cool the pipe and condense nicotine. The rod 1 has a slotted end-piece 4 fitting into the mouthpiece and is enclosed in a tube 5 apertured at 8 to communicate with the interior of a lining 6 threaded in the bowl. In a modification, the bowl is provided with a lining radially slotted at the bottom and is open to the stem, the rod and the discs extending into it and each disc having three slots. All the fittings described may be of aluminium.
