Abstract
3146. Joch, J. Feb. 16. Cranks, variablethrow. Each crank f is carried by a pin e mounted on the strap d of an eccentric c fixed to the bottom bracket a. A slotted arm g is fixed to the axle b, and engages rollers carried by the pin e and a stud m fixed to the crank. The parts are fitted with ball bearings as shown. In a modification shown in Fig. 4, the crank f is extended beyond the pin e to carry the stud m, the guide in this case being made with two slots g<1>, g<2>.
