Fancing.-The horizontal bars of vertical bar fencing are connected together and to the standards by a fish plate B, which is twisted so as to allow the hole in the standard A to be made vertical. The fishplate may be given a quarter twist before inserting it in the hole in the standard and the remaining twist given afterwards, or the hole in the standard may be made large enough to insert the plate by a screwing action after it has been given a complete half twist.
