Electric hand-irons.-An electric hand-iron is provided with a thermostat 18 to cut off the supply of current at a definite maximum temperature, and for this purpose mounted adjacent the heating element in the sole-plate 11. It comprises a helical member wound about a rod 19 in the recess 17, rigidly attached to it at one end, the other being fixed at 19<1> to the body. The end 20 is adapted to rise to trip a switch on the pressure plate 12.
