Abstract
183,475. M·gica, J. July 20, 1921, Convention date]. Continuous paving and flooring.-Roads &c. are covered with continuous strips of compressed reinforced asphalt provided in rolled-up form on wheels or drums. The previously-prepared bed of concrete is covered with cement and the strips of asphalt laid down by rotating the drums over the prepared surface so that the strips are unwound and applied to the surface under pressure due to the weight of the drums. The elasticity of the strips may be increased by passing an electric current through the metal reinforcement therein. Specifications 575/14 and 107,065 are referred to.
