Abstract
181,616. Poppe, P. A. June 27, 1921. Crank-shafts.-A balance-disc with unequallydistributed mass is spigotted on a crank-disc concentric with the shaft. As applied to a two-cycle internal-combustion engine with crank-case compression, the balance-weight C is made as wide as possible in order to fill up the crank-case F, and is hollowed out, where necessary, on the side adjacent to the crank-disc A, as shown at C<3>. The spigot C<2> relieves the securing-bolts or rivets E from shear.
