Abstract

Lids closuring at mouth of vessel.-The lid of a biscuit box or like receptacle having a dropped or set-down seating of cork or other compressible material, is held upon that seating when the handle of the box is in a certain position, by cams mounted upon the handle. The cams e, which overhang the seating-lip b<1>, are rotated by the angular movement of the handle c, which may be pivoted on lugs d at opposite sides of the mouthring of the box.
