Abstract

176,489. Jarmain, T. M., and Pancott, H. Dec. 6, 1920. Haymaking.-In a combined side-delivery rake and swathturner in which the rake bars each comprise a main bar and an auxiliary tine-carrying bar consisting of two fixed end sections and a removable central section, the end sections b are permanently riveted or bolted at their inner ends to the main bar a and at their outer ends to the joint pieces f by which the main bar is connected to the rotary spiders carrying it. Both bars are angle-shaped in cross-section. The central section c is detachably connected to the main bar by spring catches &c. which may be carried bv the main bar or the end sections. This central section is shown provided with a fixed bolt h<1> and a spring bolt h adapted to engage behind lugs i on the end sections b. The ends of the sections b fit into recesses i between plates l and the brackets k carrying the bolts.
