175,817. Whitfield, G. Dec. 10, 1920. Rack stands.-A metallic rack comprises one or more detachable shelves 1 supported by vertical corner tubes 2. Each shelf comprises a sheet of metal 1, the edges of which engage slots in bounding tubes 3, the extremities of which are united by chill cast bosses 4 having grooves 5 and screwed projections 7 to engage nuts 8. The surface of the groove 5 may be covered with rubber, leather, lead, &c. to provide a yielding surface.
