Slabs; building-blocks, special shapes of.-A concrete building-block comprises at least three elements a, b, d stepped relatively both horizontally and vertically. Grooves b<1> of semicircular, scalloped, or starshaped cross-section are provided along all the edges in one or more of the sections. Vertical and horizontal passages c, c<1> are provided through the block ioining the grooves in the edges. When in position, ,the vertical passages in one row of blocks coincide with the grooves in the edges of two adjacent blocks in the rows above and below. Shaped rods may be passed through these passages. The front face d may have chamfered edges d<1>. The foundation block e, Fig. 4, is of greater width than the wall block, and is shaped to receive the lower horizontal surface and may have a rib e<3> to engage, the groove in the lower edge of the block. Flanges e<4> may be provided at both the front and the rear.
