Abstract

174,269. Hill, W. B. Nov. 30, 1920. Folding seats.-In a seat of the kind comprising legs 12 connected by X-frame members 13, slides 20 and seat rails 15, each seat rail is of inverted U or J section, is hinged at 16 to the members 12, 13, and is provided with an upwardly cut notch 22 to engage a headed stud 23, and is retained in engagement therewith by a leaf-spring 25. The slides 20 are formed of short lengths of angle-bar, and work in contact with the inner surface of the angle-bar legs 12. According to the Provisional Specifications, additional toggle frame members may be provided, and the seat members 15 may be in the form of toggle-levers.
