Abstract

174,024. Flettner, A. July 7, 1920. Addition to 147,024. Rudders.-A freely hinged supplementary tail rudder is placed on the main rudder, described in the parent Specification, to initiate reversal of the latter on the ship reversing. The tail rudder 145 is hinged to the main rudder 126, above or below the auxiliary rudder, and by means of the stops gives a motion to the rudder 126 when it is deflected on the ship reversing.
