Gases, treating electrically.-In an ozone generator coaxial electrodes a, band an outer tube f are attached at their upper and lower ends to fittings g, h, one of which subdivides the air supplied into three currents passing respectively between the electrodes, within the inner electrode, and around the outer electrode, the currents reuniting within the other fitting. Ozone is also generated in the inner and outer cooling currents. The air may flow upwards or downwards. As shown, the inner electrode a is enclosed in an annular space between glass &c. tubes c, d and the outer electrode b surrounds a tube e. The electrodes may consist of wire gauze or closely-wound, wire. coils.
