Abstract

173,462. Hiller, E. G. Aug. 18, 1921. Fusible plugs.-In fusible plugs of the type described in Specifications 3565/88 and 15099/93, the outer casing is a shell A of cast iron or other metal which will resist corrosion, and a lining B, connected to the shell by screw-threads at C, made of brass, gun metal, or other alloy which will adhere effectively to the fusible metal E. A recess at the top of the plug is filled with fusible metal F which resists corrosion.
