Drilling.-The fixed and movable jaws of a graduated sliding calliper gauge are provided with holes for use in marking out centres for drilling purposes. In the example shown, the beam is formed by two parallel rods c connected at one end by the fixed jaw b. The body d of the movable jaw e has a central part sliding between the rods c through which part and through the fixed jaw are drilled holes d<2>, a<1>, respectively that serve to guide the drill.
