Abstract
167,302. Waldteufel, H. L. G., and Gotzen, V. P. D. de. May 7, 1920. Brackets, adjusting and securing.-A bracket for shelving &c., adjustable vertically without tilting and adapted to support shelves &c. on each side of its vertical support, comprises main and auxiliary frames a, o connected by a spring or springs p, both frames embracing and slidable on the vertical support e and a cam r pivotally mounted on the auxiliary frame and drawn up normally in such a position that a nose thereon bears against the main frame and the cam-surface bears against the vertical supporting-rod. The main frame a having a hook portion f in which is carried a rod g, to receive various forms of brackets, is adjustably supported on the vertical rod e by the cam r pivotally connected to the auxiliary frame o which frame is connected by spring p to the frame a. When the bracket is out of reach the tail u of the cam r is actuated by means of the rod 11 which may be separated from or connected to the bracket. A second rod g<1> may be carried by the slidable bracket 28 or by means of vertical rods 24 extending from the rod g.
