Building-blocks, special shapes of.-A pre-cast building-block is formed by joining two slabs D, E, of equal width and thickness, but of unequal length, so that equal rabbets are formed or one side and two ends of one slab and on one side only of the other slab. Impervious layers of bitumen or other mastic are inserted between the slabs and extend to cover the rabbets, and the whole is secured by metal ties. The blocks can be laid with rabbets of each adjoining block reversed so as to interlock and form a lapped joint on all four sides.
