Catches yielding to pull and pressure. - A fastener for drawers, or for cupboard, wardrobe and like doors, comprises a spring-controlled twoarmed rocker B, pivoted at I in the recess K1 in the rail K, and a slotted plate D, secured to the underside of the drawer J. When the drawer is pushed in, the end of the plate D forces down the arm F of the rocker, whilst the arm G engages in the slot E. The drawer is opened by pulling with a jerk, whereupon the rocker B is returned to the position shown in Fig. 6. The spring C, provided with inwardly inclined flanges H, retains the rocker in one or other of the two positions.
