Abstract

161,499. Adams, A. M. Aug. 18, 1920. Leathers or s w e a t bands.-In a hat having an elastic cord disposed against the reverse side of the sweat band, this band being stitched to a binding independently stitched to the hat, the elastic cord is secured to the sweat-band body by a stitching including long and cross loops, the latter extending around the cord and into the body. As shown, the binding 14 is stitched to the hat, and the sweat band 15 to the binding. An elastic cord 16 is secured to the reverse side of the sweat band by a stitching including long loops 16a and cross lcops 16b.
