Abstract
161,045. Corbett, W. J. Feb. 19, 1920. Globes.-A terrestrial or other globe is divided into a number of pieces each of which has two or more edges lying in planes containing the centre of the globe. The globe may be composed of twenty equilateral triangles a, b, c, d, Fig. 1, or a number of lunes e, Fig. 6. In both forms the side faces have holes a<5>, Fig. 5, for the reception of pegs, and the last piece may be provided with pivoted tongues instead of pegs to facilitate assembly. The triangles and lunes may be further sub-divided. The spherical surface may be covered with a map of the world or of the heavens, or with one or more pictures or devices.
