Abstract

161,033. Cox, E. V. Feb. 10, 1920. Tables convertible into seats.-A table, shown in Fig. 1, is convertible into a settee by turning its understructure through a right-angle so as to support the seating elements in position for use as shown in Fig. 5. The table top has fixed parts J, J' beneath which is arranged the fixed settee back K, and between these two parts the seating N is stored when out of use. A hinged extension leaf D of the table top, when out of use, is turned over and stored under an inner leaf F carried by hinged arms G. When in use the seat N is supported at the front by the rail C and at the back by webs or straps 0 arranged as shown in Fig. 5. Hinged legs L, L<1> may be extended as shown in Fig. 1, or folded into the positions shown in Fig. 5.
