Pistons.- In a piston for an internal-combustion engine, the head and skirt are separated by a gap 8, and are connected by an integral or other cone 7, the small end of which is connected to the head, while the base is connected to the skirt at about the level of the gudgeon-pin axis. A removable plug may be fitted in an aperture 4.
