Abstract

1537270 Gangways J G BROWN 6 Dec 1976 [5 Dec 1975] 49949/75 Heading B7J A ship's gangway has a first section 2, Fig. 1, engageable with a spigot 32, and pivotally connected to a second section 3 having an end-trolley 4. The gangway, supported at lugs 22, is manoeuvred until the frame 10 Fig. 3 engages the upper side of spigot 32 and is lowered until rollers 13a engage the ship. Thereafter ropes are secured to lugs 23 and members 16 are hydraulically lowered until lugs 16a engage wedge 36b.
