1536318 Optical apparatus VEREINIGTE FLUGTECHNISCHE WERKE-FOKKER GmbH 6 Dec 1976 50798/76 Heading G2 [Also in Division B7] A projection system 26 in a ship's simulator is controlled by a computer in accordance with signals from a replica bridge 10 to simulate a view therefrom and comprises two projectors 28, 29 which are faded in and out by the computer, a conical mirror 31 and a cylindrical screen 25 on to which is projected by means of the mirror 31 360 degrees images carried on film loaded in the projectors. The films have been taken at a plurality of points in series in two dimensions in an operational area to be simulated either in an actual area or a model, the 360 degrees image being achieved by means of a similar conical mirror.
