Abstract

The blows are imparted to the tool (18) of a percussive or rotary-percussive hammer by means of a freely floating percussive piston (12). Provided in the housing (10) of the hammer is an oil-supply space (97) from which an oil line (86, 88,96) leads to the cylinder space (72). Arranged in the oil line (88, 96) is a metering device (87, 89, 90) which can be manually controlled by means of an operating member (93) arranged on the outside of the housing (10). Thus the lubricating-oil feed to the cylinder space, in which the oil is atomized by the percussive piston, can easily be adapted to the respective requirements. <IMAGE>
