Abstract

1535693 Laminates FLEXIPANE Ltd 19 July 1977 30188/77 Heading B5N A fire-retardant sheet comprising a first surface layer of metal foil superposing a first plastics layer which superposes a first Kraft layer, said Kraft layer superposing a second plastics layer, which superposes a wire reinforcement, the said wire reinforcement superposing a third plastics layer which superposes a second Kraft layer which in turn superposes a fourth plastics layer superposing a second metal foil surface layer, said arrangement providing a composite sheet which has outer surface layers of metal foil and central wire reinforcement, which wire reinforcement is sandwiched between said second and third plastics layers, and wherein said first and second plastics layers sandwich the first Kraft layer and said third and fourth plastics layers sandwich the second Kraft layer. The metal foil may be aluminium of 0À009 mm. thickness and the plastic may be polythene. There may be, optionally, layers of scrim between first plastic and first Kraft and between second Kraft and fourth plastic layer.
