Abstract

1535461 Double glazing THOMAS BENNETT Ltd 24 March 1977 12366/77 Heading E1J [Also in Division B3] A composite rail, suitable for a doubleglazed door or window frame, is formed by mechanically connecting two outer metal sections 10, 12 to a central insulating bar 14. The sections, after being assembled, are deformed, adjacent to tongue portions 16, 20 of the bar, by rolls to firmly join the components. Alternatively the bar itself may be deformed. The sections may be of extruded aluminium and the bar of rigid p.v.c.
