1534041 IC engine exhaust passages NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 6 May 1976 [6 May 1975] 18570/76 Heading F1B A reciprocating piston I.C. engine comprises a combustion chamber 20 and a cylinder head 12 in which is an exhaust passage 10 communicable with the combustion chamber by way of an exhaust valve 16, which is adapted to open in the range from 60 to 90 degrees of crank-shaft rotation angle before BDC, a passage liner 14 being disposed in the exhaust passage 10 for reducing heat transfer from the exhaust gases to the cylinder head.
