Abstract

1531954 Gas filter GOSUDAR N-I I PROEKT INST REDKOMETALLICHE PROMYSHLEN GIREDMET 11 Feb 1977 05680/77 Heading BIT Outward flow filter tubes 2 have upper ends closed by caps 5 which are continuously twisted in reciprocating manner through an angle A degrees defined by the equation where L and D are the length and diameter of the tubes, to shake dust from the tube interiors into hopper (4) (Fig. 1 not shown). Each cap 5 is suspended by a rod 6 carrying a pulley 14 which is connected by two flexible drawbars 15, extending opposite ways round the pulley, to a rigid rod 16. Rods 16 are each connected to the drawbars 15 of a row of filter tubes (Fig. 3 not shown) and are reciprocated by motor (17) to twist pulleys 14 and caps 5. The filter may also have valves (11, 12) for periodically cleaning the tubes by reverse flow.
