1531696 Setting register in printing machines POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN VEB 23 June 1977 [2 July 1976] 26267/77 Heading B6C A rotary printing machine has devices for adjusting both the axial and the circumferential register, wherein cylinder 4 carries a gear wheel mounted to be rotatable with the cylinder and meshing with a drive gear, the gear wheel having axially inclined gear teeth on a rim portion 9 which is axially displaceable relative to a bulb portion 10, a first lever-actuable sleeve 14 secured to a trunnion of the cylinder to be axially displaceable therewith to set the axial register, a second lever-actuable sleeve 26 supported on the trunnion to be axially displaceable relative thereto, the second sleeve being secured to the rim portion to be rotatably and axially displaceable therewith, so that movement of the second sleeve axially moves the rim portion -axially and hence, because of the inclined teeth of the rim portion, sets the circumferential register. The sleeves may be moved by levers 16, 27 actuated by a worm-and-wheel gearing turned by a hand wheel.
