Abstract

1530733 Making lined boxes ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 18 March 1976 [19 March 1975] 11005/76 Heading B5D In an apparatus wherein a bottom sealed portion of a tube 6 which has been formed around a hollow mandrel 16, is inserted in a box 1 and then severed from the remainder of the tube 6 to form a bottom sealed lining bag 3 in the box, said bottom sealed portion of the tube is drawn from the mandrel 16 and positioned in the box 1 by conveyer belts 26 adjacent the mandrel and a reciprocable plunger 27 which is guided in the mandrel. The conveyer belts 26 which feed bag lengths of the tube 6, advance the tube in timed relationship with the plunger 27 which may be moved down to the bottom of the box 1 or may only partially enter the box. In the latter case compressed air is blown into the bottom sealed tube from an opening in the end wall 28 of the plunger 27. The conveyer belts 26 are perforated so that the tube can be drawn thereagainst by suction from suction chambers 37. The boxes 1 are successively positioned below the mandrel 16 by an intermittently operable conveyer 12. The tube 6 is formed around the mandrel 16 from a web 5 by a forming shoulder 17 and a longitudinal seam welding device 18. A welding device 20 and a shear 22 which are provided below the mandrel 16, bottom seal and sever the tube, respectively.
