Abstract

1528097 Band strap TOSKA CO Ltd and SATO GOSEI CO Ltd 24 Sept 1976 39875/76 Heading E2B A band strap comprises a head portion 1 from the side of which a strap 2 extends in a aperture formed in the head portion a tongue 3 is provided and a slit 4 is also formed in the head portion. On one side face of the strap 2 teeth 5 are formed and a filament portion 6 is provided to facilitate threading through the slit 4. On the wall of the aperture projections 8, 8' are provided which engage with projecting strips 9, 9' on the strap when the strap is in the aperture (Fig. 7). In use the engagement of projections 8, 8', and 9 and 9' prevent the head portion from distorting and serves to keep the teeth 11 on the tongue 3 fairly engaged with the teeth 5 on the strap when the strap is tightened by pulling around an object.
