Abstract

1527655 Preserving blood B O C Ltd 5 April 1977 [24 March 1976] 11741/76 Heading A2D Blood is preserved by subjecting it to superatmospheric pressure, simultaneously or subsequently reducing the temperature of the blood to at least -70‹C to freeze said blood and -maintaining the frozen blood at that temperature. When the blood is required for use, the temperature is caused to rise to room temperature at a controlled rate and the pressure controlledly released.
