Abstract

1526475 Carrying handles BERTIL WIGEMARK AB 22 Sept 1976 [23 Sept 1975] 39203/76 Heading A4G A carrying handle 5 made of non-rigid plastics material, e.g. moulded or extruded polyethylene, for use with a container 1, is provided at its ends with locking plates 8, 9 which extend generally in the longitudinal direction of the handle and are intended to be inserted into slots 3, 4 formed in the container. The central parts of the plates 8, 9 are continuous in the transverse direction of the plate, and the plates are inter-connected by a grip portion 6 to which they extend at an angle 12 of between 20 degrees and 50 degrees the plates diverging in the lifting direction 19 of the handle. As described the grip portion 6 is of U-section with transverse ribs 11 and is connected to the plates 8, 9 by strap portions 7. The surface of each plate 8, 9 has, on either side of the strap, areas 13, 14 defining an angle 15 of less than 180 degrees.
