Abstract
1526385 Spray carburetters HITACHI Ltd 21 March 1977 [24 March 1976] 11836/77 Heading F1H To prevent temperature induced viscosity changes varying fuel metering at the choke needle controlled fuel orifice an electrical heater 9 heats a portion of the fuel passage from the float chamber. The heater 9 may include a PTC element (10), Fig. 2 (not shown), in an insulated casing (12) or a heater which receives current below a first temperature and has the current cut off above a second higher temperature. The choke valve may be a vane linked to the throttle valve and a switch (14), Fig. 3 (not shown), which closes below a predetermined temperature may be included in the PTC element circuit or the circuit of a nichrome wire element.
