Abstract

1524833 Musical instruments MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 18 Aug 1975 [19 Aug 1974 20 Aug 1974 (2) 1 Nov 1974 11 Nov 1974 18 Nov 1974 20 Nov 1974 29 Nov 1974] 34273/75 Heading G5J [Also in Division H4] A vibration pick-up, comprising a case enclosing a cushioned piezoelectric ceramic plate, has a wall of the case secured to a violin or guitar by a bond member (15), Fig. 17 (not shown) of cloth or net embedded in elastomeric material. To prevent unwanted vibration of the lead wire 3 (Fig. 18B) a retainer 4 bonded to the musical instrument is stamped out to provide two retaining fingers 6, 6<SP>1</SP>. Alternatively the retainer (4<SP>1</SP>), Fig. 18C (not shown) comprises a rubber or plastics block apertured for passage of the wire.
