1523890 Spraying cows' teats ALFALAVAL CO Ltd 26 Nov 1976 [28 Nov 1975] 49022/75 Heading AIM Corrosive disinfectant is fed from a jar 1 to a delivery chamber 10 whenever a valve 4 is opened by a liquid level sensor 7, and is sprayed from nozzles 12 onto a cow's teats when compressed air is supplied to the chamber 10 via a valve 15 controlled by a delay timer 16 actuated either by automatic cluster removal equipment, or by switches at a pre-set position of the rotary milker, or by photo-cells or proximity switches in the exit passage for the cow, or manually. Disinfectant cannot enter the valve 15 because of the relatively low level of the sensor 7.
