1523414 Cameras AGFA-GEVAERT A G 31 Jan 1977 [30 Jan 1976] 03894/77 Heading G2A A camera has a film spool holder supported on a cover which can hinge away from the camera, so that the holder is disengaged from the film spool in the camera, thus allowing the spool to be removed through a rear door. The camera has a back (not shown) which can be unfastened by a bolt 2, so that the cassette 3 can be removed and replaced. When in use, the cassette is engaged by a film spool holder 8 which is rotatably mounted on a small hinged cover 10. The cover is pivoted to the main camera body by a spindle 11, and can hinge outwards from the closed position of Fig. 2 to the open positon of Fig. 1. It is urged by a spring 12 into this position, and is locked in the closed position by the same bolt 2. Cover 10 carries a gear-wheel 13 which is fixed to holder 8, and which engages with another gear-wheel 16 also mounted on cover 10. In the normal operating position, cover 10 is closed, and a gear-wheel 5 at the end of a spindle 6 engages with a gear-wheel 7 which drives the film take-up spool. Thus rotation of spindle 6 by means of a handle causes the film to be transported from supply spool 9 to the takeup spool. In this position gear 5 is clear of gear 16. When rewind is required, spindle 6 is pushed downwards so that gear 5 moves clear of gear 7 and engages with gear 16, as in Fig. 2. Rotation of spindle 6 now causes holder 8 to rotate, so winding the film back on to spool 9. Bolt 2 is now actuated to release cover 10 and the camera back. Cover 10 pivots downwards so that holder 8 disengages from spool 9, and this can then be removed through the opened back.
