Abstract

1523302 Closing vehicle body sides YORK TRAILER CO Ltd 5 May 1976 [5 May 1975] 18783/75 Heading E1J A curtain closing a wall of a vehicle body is made of woven material with the warp and weft threads so arranged that vertical tensioning of the curtain stretches the same and results in a tendency to contract in a horizontal direction, the vertical edges of the curtain being held against movement so that horizontal tensioning is simultaneously achieved. For example, a P.V.C. coated woven polyester fibre is employed for a curtain cut on the bias so that both warp and weft threads lie at 45‹ to the direction of tension forces applied by straps or cords secured to the curtain.
