1522559 Purifying ensigns NOVO INDUSTRI AS 29 April 1977 [27 May 1976] 21951/76 Heading C3H A process for the purification of Mucor miehei protease comprises applying a solution of Mucor miehei protease to an equilibrated column, prepared by transferring a coupled gel to a chromatography column, equilibrating the gel with a buffer having a pH between 5À0 and 6À0, rinsing the column with a buffer having a pH in the range of from 5À0 to 6À0, eluating the column with an eluating agent, which is buffer having a pH in the range of from 5À0 to 6À0, in which from 15 to 30% of an organic solvent is dissolved, and isolating pure Mucor miehei protease from the eluate, the coupled gel comprising CNBr-activated agarose gel beads coupled to a ligand prepared by the reaction of 1-chloro- 2,4-dinitrobenzene with hexamethylenediamine.
