Abstract

1522413 Lift shaft door MASCHINENFABRIC AUGSBURG - NURNBURG AG 15 March 1976 [21 March 1975] 10218/76 Heading E1J A door for a lift shaft comprises metal panels 6 and 7 facing the rest of the building and the lift shaft respectively and joined by a metal frame 8 to form a distortionresistant box-like structure, the panel 7 has apertures at the lower 9 and upper 10 region so that cooling air may pass through (as arrow 11). The edges 13, 14 of the apertures may be shaped to direct the air current or plates (12 Fig. 1, not shown) on the (known) reinforcement ribs may act as baffles. The door serves to prevent the passage of fire from one floor to another via the lift shaft.
