1517312 Boxes F E TATTAM 2 April 1976 [24 April 1975] 17100/75 Addition to 1437719 Heading B8P A container assembled from a kit of parts as claimed in the Main Patent is arranged to have side panels hinged by connecting means to a base panel and means connecting the side panels to end panels, the latter means comprising either disengageable connecting elements or a flexible connecting member permanently secured between the side and end panels. Panels 11, 13 may define a tray, Figs. 1 and 2, the connecting means comprising H-shaped links 29 supported between generally J-shaped members 28 secured to respective panels 11. The end panels 13 bear plates 33 having apertures 37, and clips 35 mounted on the adjacent panel 11 are co-operable with the apertures to provide a disengageable lost-motion connection. Projections 40 on the panels 13 engage through slots 42 in the corresponding side panels 11 and slots 44 in generally U-shaped clips 43 extending the length of the box, and co-operate with spring clips 45 to hold the box erect. Alternatively, Fig. 6, the deformable covering 100 of the container as claimed in the Parent Specification may be extended to form flaps 102, 103 which may be permanently secured to the end panels 107. Corner regions 104, 105 may be formed to facilitate stacking. Further, Fig. 8, a bag 106 may be fitted within the box. A central constricted region of the bag 106 passes through a hole in a double partition 104, the latter providing support for frangible articles, e.g. pills, in the upper region of the bag 106. Fastening straps (110), (111), Fig. 7 (not shown) may extend across the base panel (103) and a lid, and have portions (113), Fig. 11 (not shown), for co-operation with members fixed to the end panels. Alternatively, Figs. 13 and 14 (not shown), adjacent wall panels (210), (211) may be held in engagement by cords (216) held taut between opposing panels, e.g. by engagement of enlarged heads (218) at the ends of the cords (216) with clips (212) having slots (214) through which the cords (216) pass. Further, Fig. 15 (not shown), a retractable handle or handles (220) may be provided. Also interlocking between adjacent panels may be by frictional engagement of tongues (234), Fig. 16, (not shown), within slots (232) defined by contiguous drilled holes (235), or a flange (150), Fig. 17 (not shown), on a side wall panel (141) may enter a slit (144) in a base panel (140). Furthermore, Fig. 20, panels 301, 302 may be connected by engaging elements 305, 306, or angular clips (403), Figs. 21-23 (not shown), may engage adjacent wall panels (400), (401) outwardly of the corresponding corner. Also, Fig. 19 (not shown), the connecting elements may co-operate with members (174) for uniting adjacent boxes in a stack.
