Abstract

1517194 Check-out systems BAG SYSTEM AB 6 Aug 1975 [7 Aug 1974] 32805/75 Heading A4T [Also in Division B7] A shopping trolley comprises at least one basket 1 having a side wall 7 pivotable from a closed position, Fig. 1 (not shown), to a raised position on inserting the trolley into a compartment in a counter, means 10 being provided on the counter for raising the pivotable wall 7. The means 10 raise the wall 7 by engagement with arms 8 supporting it, and may include magnets for retaining the wall 7 in raised condition and returning it to the closed position on withdrawing the trolley. Alternatively stops (not shown) may retain the wall 7 in raised condition, and it may be balanced to return to the closed position under its own weight.
