Abstract

1517061 Tubular heat exchangers CLARKE CHAPMAN Ltd 10 Jan 1977 [14 Jan 1976] 01444/76 Headings F4A and F4S In a heat exchanger (e.g. in steam generating plant incorporating a fast nuclear reactor) tubes 10 are each connected to the wall of a vessel 12 by an annular bellows 20. The bellows is connected at one end thereof to a collar 18 secured to the tube, and at the other end thereof to an extension 22 of the tube aperture 14 in the vessel wall 16. The extension has a bore 24 slidably engaging the tube. A shroud 26 encircles the bellows.
