Abstract

1516882 Irregular colour effects on textiles HOECHST AG 5 Sept 1975 [5 Sept 1974] 36703/75 Heading D1B Irregular colour effects are produced on textile materials by applying a layer of bubbles of an aqueous surfactant-containing dyestuff dispersion, which dispersion has a viscosity of 40 to 190 mPa.s. the bubbles having a diameter of at least 10mm and allowing the bubbles to burst. The bubbles are produced by passing air or an inert gas through the dyestuff dispersion. Polyamide, polyester, polyacrylonitrile and cotton materials may be dyed. The surfactant may be a sulphonated paraffin or olefins having 12 to 18 carbon atoms, alkyl phenol polyglycol ethers and fatty alcohol and fatty acid polyglycol ethers of MW 400 to 900.
